Rick: When life…

Rick: When life begins, you’re like food in someone’s mouth. All is warm and pink and moist. Very moist.
Scott: Eww.
Rick: Eww is right! Then you get squeezed through a sphincter and the real trouble begins! As you travel through the esophagus of adolescence, you’re molded and softened until you are fully prepared.
Scott: Prepared for what?
Rick: The ulcerous, acid-filled stomach.
Scott: Adulthood.
Rick: The first part of it. Most of adulthood is in the bowels. Then, when all of your nutrients are gone, you’re ejected, flushed back into the cosmos.
Scott: I’ve told many people that their beliefs make me feel queasy, but I’ve never really meant it so literally before.
